Nigel Gallop
From his early education at Western Australia’s famed selective Perth Modern School, Nigel Gallop has, in all of his endeavours, begun with a blank page to design, create and build: patented computer software and systems, businesses, horse-breeding syndicates, and most recently, his award-winning vineyard and winery.
British by birth but a Margaret River-based Australian by choice, Nigel enjoyed early success in a coveted position in Sydney at technology giant IBM in the early days of computer programming.
Six years at listed gaming corporation TAB followed where Nigel designed and implemented the world’s first mark-sense betting system – a system that continues to be used worldwide. The urge to be his boss led Nigel to form his own company along with two colleagues in 1977. Working from a Formica table above a deli in East Perth, the friends designed computer software for credit unions in Australia and the United States. That business was sold and Nigel set off for San Francisco for a new challenge in an allied business; nine years later, that business was publicly listed on Nasdaq, employing 400 people with systems installed in 400 credit unions across 43 states of the USA.
Twenty-five years ago, after extensive research into the ideal location and conditions in which to grow the style of wines he enjoyed in the Napa Valley and France, Nigel established Fraser Gallop Estate Wilyabrup where he continues to work and live to this day.
“We are committed to the future of Fraser Gallop Estate as a producer of fine wines; not only of great quality, but wines that are individual to us and to our terroir.” says Nigel, “From the beginning, everything possible has been done to ensure that outcome. From the selection of the property, through the recruitment of the best people and enormous attention to detail, we maintain that commitment. We do things the correct way, without compromise – never the easy way.”
Ellin Tritt - Head Winemaker
From a young age, Ellin Tritt was drawn to the intersection of science and creativity—pursuing a career that would blend both in the most tangible and expressive way. That passion led her to complete a double degree in winemaking, viticulture and agribusiness in 2010, setting the foundation for a journey defined by curiosity, craftsmanship, and deep respect for the land.
Ellin’s winemaking career has taken her across the globe, with vintages in Canada, Provence, Alsace, and Napa Valley enriching her perspective and refining her skills. Yet it was always Margaret River that called her home.
Since joining Fraser Gallop Estate in 2017, Ellin has brought a quiet confidence and thoughtful approach to her craft—honouring the unique terroir of Wilyabrup while allowing each vintage to speak for itself.
“Every time I worked overseas, something always pulled me back to Margaret River. We have an incredibly unique industry here, surrounded by breathtaking natural beauty. At Fraser Gallop Estate, there’s a rare opportunity to craft wines that are both distinctive and transparent—pure reflections of the vineyard and the season. I’m genuinely excited about the future of this region and the story we’re telling through these wines.”

The first releases from the 2026 vintage — the Estate Semillon Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay and Rosé are expected mid-year.
The Parterre and Palladian Chardonnay and Parterre Semillon Sauvignon Blanc will rest in barrel until December, with release anticipated in late 2027.
The Parterre and Palladian Cabernet Sauvignon, along with other red blends, will continue to mature in oak into next year, with release to follow in 2028.

2026 Fraser Gallop Semillon/Sauvignon Blanc [Pre-Release]
Very pale gold in colour, the nose is immediately expressive with lifted aromas of citrus blossom, white pear, lemon zest and white peach, layered with delicate notes of frangipani, lemon sherbet and wet limestone. Bright, fragrant and inviting, the palate is beautifully balanced, with a generous core of citrus and orchard fruits framed by refreshing acidity and a fine saline edge. A subtle fruit sweetness through the mid-palate is complemented by zesty acidity and a refined structure, creating a wine that is both effortlessly drinkable and quietly contemplative.

2023 Fraser Gallop ‘Parterre’ Semillon/Sauvignon Blanc
Pale to medium gold in the glass with light reductive struck match and flint aromas over cedar oak notes plus a little wild sauvage-y sandalwood. The palate is concentrated: savoury and steely, with zesty fresh acidity and a chalky dry finish. Lots going on! Drink with hibachi-grilled barramundi

A 70/30 split and made and aged in a variety of French barrels, some new. Plenty of flinty, savoury, woodsy/spicy oak and herbal aromas, alongside citrus and stone fruit. It’s rather racy in this youthful stage, with bright acidity throughout, yet a slip of texture underneath from the barrel fermentation adds some depth.

2025 Fraser Gallop Innovation Chardonnay
Pale gold in the glass with fluorescent green highlights, this Chardonnay pulses with energy from the outset. The nose is generous yet composed, opening to layers of pear, white peach, lemon curd and lime panna cotta, dusted with a hint of peach crumble and soft floral lift. The palate delivers both focus and finesse — a continuation of the aromatic promise, with juicy ripe citrus, white peach and the minerality of wet riverstone. A fine acid line drives the wine forward, shaping the generous fruit and carrying it through to a long, mouthwatering finish. Dynamic and finely tuned, this is a Chardonnay that balances freshness with complexity, and texture with precision.

2024 Fraser Gallop ‘Parterre’ Chardonnay
This is the most elegant and stylish light-bodied chardonnay. It was whole-bunch pressed and wild yeast fermented. Then had six months in oak, so it hasn't seen an excessive amount of oak and yet the fruit has developed harmony and complexity. On the nose, there's a minerally sea spray citrus combination. And then the palate is really finely crafted and elegant with a degree of delicacy. A little white peach and nectarine and some crunchy chalky acidity completes an excellent wine. Has good cellaring potential too.

2022 Fraser Gallop ‘Palladian’ Chardonnay
mmediately strikes with the greater intensity and more focused precision which is part of the linear structure of this wine. It’s deeply complex already with a minerally, and slightly citrus and savoury combination. That heightened chalky minerality really says chardonnay at the highest level. There is power and drive here, yet it’s delivered with such sophisticated elegance. This is a tremendously promising wine. It is in the modern linear finer style.

2024 Fraser Gallop Cabernet Merlot
Very deep, bright purple colour with similarly deep, concentrated aromas of dark berries and darker, underbrush nuances. The wine is full bodied and firm with abundant tannins, typical cabernet structure and very good indeed. Will enjoy a few years of cellar time.

2022 Fraser Gallop ‘Parterre’ Cabernet Sauvignon
This is the most stylish expression of cabernet, which has about 5% malbec, 5% petit verdot, 3% cab franc, and 2% merlot. So it's a classic Bordeaux blend, and shows elements of that sinewy, minerally tannin profile that you might expect. Nice dark fruits on the nose with a lift of bay leaf and a distinct oyster shell character. The palate has good medium-bodied flesh supported by those fine sinewy tannins and integrated oak. It's a classically defined cabernet.

2026 Fraser Gallop Ice Pressed Chardonnay 375ml
Pale gold with lime-green hues, this wine captivates with freshness and vitality. The nose opens with lemon zest, citrus blossom and lemon sherbet, unfolding into juicy white peach, nectarine and a delicate sea spray salinity, with subtle hints of fresh nougat. The palate is vibrant and mouth-filling, its luscious texture balanced by bright natural acidity. Flavours of Nashi pear, white stone fruit and candied citrus lead to a long, mouth-watering finish that is refreshing and irresistibly moreish.
